I teamed up with Anjali, my wife, to launch our Birkenstock repair shop after we realized w̶e̶ ̶w̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶d̶e̶s̶t̶i̶n̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶s̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶p̶l̶a̶n̶e̶t̶ ̶o̶n̶e̶ ̶s̶a̶n̶d̶a̶l̶ ̶a̶t̶ ̶a̶ ̶t̶i̶m̶e̶ we’d rather glue our futures to something that didn’t involve fluorescent office lights or passive-aggressive Slack messages. For lack of a “disruptive” app idea, we decided to bet on restoring Birks instead. Turns out, people get weirdly attached to their worn-out sandals—and honestly, we get it. A good pair molds to your life, your adventures, and your questionable life choices. Why toss them when you can give them a second act?
We spent a lot of time finding the best adhesive to keep the sandal flexible as new. A sole that can last hundred marathon, and enough care to make your sandals feel like they’ve been to a spa. Plus, we source materials from suppliers who are best in India.
w̶e̶ ̶h̶o̶p̶e̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶a̶d̶m̶i̶r̶e̶ ̶o̶u̶r̶ ̶a̶r̶t̶i̶s̶t̶r̶y̶ we hope you send us enough battered Birks to ensure we never have to wear real shoes again. P.S. If your sandals are clinging to life by a thread (or a sole), bring them over. We’ll fix them, and keep this gloriously un-corporate dream alive. Deal?
